The quaint of heart - Main level

This large duplex desperately needed some TLC and was a classic example of DIYs gone wrong/finding band-aid solutions to solve some bad problems. We knew that the bones of the property were good but that it needed a MAJOR facelift, so we set to work to repair the damages the right way and breathe some new life into this older home.

what we did
KITCHENS
The previous kitchens were highly dysfunctional and in need of repair. We completely gutted the kitchens and redesigned the layout to optimize functionality and space. We installed beautiful white shaker cabinets and marble effect countertops from IKEA, replaced all the appliances with brand new, stainless steel appliances, and ripped up the many layers of old flooring and laid new vinyl floors.

bathroomS
New flooring, tubs, vanities, toilets, tile and paint gave these bathrooms a fresh and clean look. We chose a high-gloss porcelain to surround the tubs for a sophisticated look and a opted for a shallow depth vanity to maximize the tight space.

living rooms
We brightened up this very dark room by painting the walls in Balboa Mist by Benjamin Moore and giving the trim a fresh coat of white paint. We carried the vinyl flooring throughout the units and replaced the old ceiling fans with new LED pot lights and ceiling mount lights.

bedrooms
The bedrooms are all a nice size, but unfortunately that was about the only nice thing about them. We got rid of the dark paint and broken ceiling fans, replaced the lighting with LED ceiling mount lights, and replaced the badly damaged and scratched floors with new vinyl flooring.
